The student wellness department has the district-wide responsibility for development, direction, implementation and evaluation of all programs and services related to student health and wellness.
Such programs and services include Social and Emotional Learning programs, student health services (nursing) and health education, guidance and counseling services, prevention and intervention programs, regular education social work services, the district wellness policy, homeless education services, COVID reporting, and coordination of staff surveillance testing. The Coordinator represents EPS in community committees and meetings in order to facilitate partnerships with local health and community agencies.
