The Española Valley High School Ski Club has had an incredible season exploring the slopes of Taos Ski Valley. Our first trip was January 12th and the students had a great time! We will have additional trips on January 26th, February 5th, February 9th, and February 23, 2026. Led by Mr. Scott Valdez and Mr Salomon Maestas, students had the opportunity to experience one of New Mexico’s premier ski destinations while building confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for outdoor recreation.
Taos Ski Valley is known for its challenging terrain, breathtaking alpine scenery, and world-class snow conditions. For many EVHS students, this experience provides not only skill development in skiing and snowboarding, but also exposure to new opportunities, personal growth, and unforgettable memories in the mountains.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our students for their commitment and positive representation of EVHS, to our parents for their continued support, and to our sponsors whose generosity made this experience possible.
